Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and carefully bag groceries, ensuring items are placed appropriately to prevent damage.
- Offer and provide assistance to customers with carry-out service to their vehicles.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of checkout lanes, bagging areas, and surrounding store sections.
- Retrieve and organize shopping carts from parking lots and store perimeters.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and helpful customer service, addressing inquiries or directing customers to appropriate staff.
- Assist with restocking shelves, fronting products, and general store tidiness as needed during slower periods.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of retail operations and customer flow.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Familiarity with grocery store layouts and product handling.
- Bilingualism (English and another language commonly spoken in Toronto) is an asset.
