Job Description
Migori Country Lodge is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Receptionist. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a pleasant first impression.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, accurately processing payments and issuing keys.
- Handle all incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate departments, and take messages when necessary.
- Respond to guest inquiries, provide information about lodge services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
- Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing incoming/outgoing mail.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and requests with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other lodge departments (housekeeping, dining, security) to ensure seamless guest service.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and special promotions.
- Adhere to all lodge policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
- High level of professionalism and a positive, friendly demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
