Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nutritionist to join a prestigious hospital/clinic network within the vibrant Zayed Port Area of Abu Dhabi. This professional role is pivotal in delivering evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and counseling to a diverse patient population. You will be instrumental in assessing nutritional status, developing personalized dietary plans, and educating patients on healthy eating habits tailored to their specific health conditions, whether inpatient or outpatient. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, considering medical history, lifestyle, and dietary habits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical nutrition therapy plans based on current scientific evidence and clinical guidelines.
- Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling to patients and their families on various health conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, renal disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.
- Educate patients on therapeutic diets, healthy eating principles, and lifestyle modifications to manage diseases and promote wellness.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition care into overall treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Participate in hospital/clinic quality improvement initiatives, continuing education programs, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the development of patient education materials and nutrition-related health promotion programs.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
- Monitor food service operations for adherence to nutritional standards and dietary prescriptions, where applicable.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- HAAD/DOH license or eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi as a Clinical Dietitian/Nutritionist.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Proficiency in conducting nutritional assessments and developing personalized dietary interventions.
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for various chronic and acute conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous.
- Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Specialized certifications in areas such as CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator), CSP (Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition), or CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician).
- Experience with diverse cultural patient populations.
