Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and creative Freelance Events & Commercial Photographer based in Cumberland, Portmore, to join our extended team. This pivotal role involves capturing high-quality visual content that powerfully communicates our brand message, documents key events, and enhances our digital presence. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to understand project briefs, objectives, and brand guidelines for various photography assignments.
  • Plan and execute photo shoots for company events (e.g., workshops, seminars, staff gatherings, community engagements) and commercial projects.
  • Utilize professional-grade photography equipment to capture high-resolution images that meet specified artistic and technical standards.
  • Conduct thorough post-production, including editing, retouching, color correction, and cropping, to ensure images are polished and brand-consistent.
  • Organize and manage digital assets, ensuring proper cataloging and timely delivery of final images.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot personal photography equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliver assignments within agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual storytelling of Career.zycto.
  • Ensure all captured content aligns with legal and ethical standards, including obtaining necessary model releases when applicable.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an events and/or commercial photographer, demonstrated by a strong professional portfolio.
  • Expertise in digital photography techniques, camera operation, lighting principles, and composition.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Own professional-grade camera equipment, lenses, lighting, and accessories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in post-production and asset management.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling visual narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with drone photography for unique perspectives.
