Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo, verifying items against delivery notes to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries within Gregory Park, Portmore, and surrounding areas, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, delivery confirmations, and any unforeseen issues.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered.
- Handle delivery paperwork, including invoices, receipts, and manifests, ensuring proper completion, collection of signatures, and submission.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto with professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Adhere to strict schedules and deadlines, managing time effectively to complete all assigned tasks and routes.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, maintenance needs, accidents, or incidents promptly and accurately to management.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (e.g., Class C or equivalent for light/medium commercial vehicles in Jamaica).
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3 years, verifiable.
- Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance checks and minor troubleshooting.
- Excellent knowledge of Gregory Park, Portmore, and surrounding areas, including common routes and traffic patterns.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs comfortably and safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

- Prior experience (minimum 1 year) in a logistics, courier, or dedicated delivery driver role.
