Career.zycto is seeking a friendly, highly organized, and energetic Part-Time Gym Front Desk Assistant to join our team in Agbara, Badagry. This pivotal role serves as the first point of contact for our valued members and prospective clients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they step into our facility. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our gym’s positive atmosphere, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the smooth operation of our fitness center.

As a Gym Front Desk Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that contribute directly to member satisfaction and retention. This includes warmly greeting all individuals, managing check-ins, answering inquiries both in person and over the phone, and providing comprehensive information about our various membership options, classes, and services. You will also be entrusted with processing payments accurately, handling new member registrations, and addressing member concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all members and guests upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
  • Efficiently check-in members, verify membership status, and manage visitor access.
  • Process new membership registrations, cancellations, and updates accurately.
  • Handle all incoming calls, respond to emails, and address in-person inquiries about the gym's services, schedules, and facilities.
  • Accurately process payments for memberships, personal training sessions, classes, and retail items using our POS system.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized front desk and lobby area throughout your shift.
  • Provide comprehensive information about membership packages, promotions, and special events.
  • Assist members with scheduling appointments for personal trainers or specialized classes.
  • Resolve member complaints and issues in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
  • Monitor gym access and ensure facility security during operating hours.
  • Assist with retail merchandise display and inventory management as needed.
  • Perform opening and closing duties for the facility, including cash reconciliation and securing the premises.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet browsing).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in a related field.
  • Fluency in local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Egun) is an added advantage.
