Our projects demand not only technical proficiency but also an understanding of design principles and client expectations. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces thoroughly, accurately measuring and cutting tiles, expertly applying adhesive, and meticulously laying and grouting various types of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, mosaic, and natural stone. The ability to troubleshoot challenges, ensure proper leveling and alignment, and achieve a flawless finish is paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for tiling, ensuring they are clean, level, and dry.
- Measure, cut, and shape tiles to fit spaces, utilizing manual and power tools.
- Apply adhesives, mortar, and grout with precision and consistency.
- Lay tiles in a systematic and aesthetically pleasing manner, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Seal joints and surfaces to ensure water resistance and durability, especially in bathrooms.
- Clean and remove excess materials, ensuring a tidy and professional finish.
- Estimate material requirements accurately to minimize waste and ensure project efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on-site.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals and site supervisors.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in floor and bathroom tiling.
- Proficiency in using tile cutting tools (manual and electric), trowels, levels, and other tiling equipment.
- Strong understanding of different tiling materials and adhesive types.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in layout and execution.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or design specifications.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in construction.
