Mphatlalatsane Hotel is seeking a dedicated and energetic Laundry Helper to bolster our operations in Mantsonyane, Thaba-Tseka. This full-time position is critical to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that our hotel is known for. As a Laundry Helper, you will be an integral part of our housekeeping department, responsible for the efficient and careful handling of all hotel linen, towels, staff uniforms, and guest laundry. Your daily tasks will involve sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing a large volume of items, ensuring they are impeccably clean, fresh, and ready for use. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of various fabric care requirements, and the ability to operate laundry machinery safely and effectively. You will also be responsible for identifying and treating stains, performing routine maintenance on laundry equipment, and maintaining a tidy and organized laundry area. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linen, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, and irons, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect items for stains and damage, applying appropriate stain removal techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linen to various departments within the hotel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report needs for replenishment.
- Assist with inventory checks of linen and laundry supplies.
- Perform minor routine maintenance on laundry machines and report any malfunctions to management.
- Handle guest laundry requests with care and discretion.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to environmental sustainability and waste management.
