Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport and deliver packages, documents, and other goods to designated locations within Benin City.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
- Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents and ensure all deliveries are accounted for.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle mileage.
- Handle cash payments or electronic transactions upon delivery, as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles (motorcycle, tricycle, or van) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class G or relevant motorcycle/tricycle license) with a clean driving record.
- Proven ability to navigate Benin City and surrounding areas efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and record-keeping.
