Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport and deliver packages, documents, and other goods to designated locations within Benin City.
  • Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
  • Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents and ensure all deliveries are accounted for.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle mileage.
  • Handle cash payments or electronic transactions upon delivery, as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles (motorcycle, tricycle, or van) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license (Class G or relevant motorcycle/tricycle license) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven ability to navigate Benin City and surrounding areas efficiently.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of professional delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience in customer service roles.
