Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring accurate handling and placement of goods.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any defects or malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, organizing, and tracking stock using warehouse systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, contributing to overall team productivity.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift operator license/certification (Gabelstaplerschein)
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles (can be learned on job)
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in basic German or English language for communication and safety instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment (even non-forklift related)
