Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and effective stock rotation.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse operatives, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and manage dispatch schedules, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of orders.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, customer service, transport) to ensure seamless workflow.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure proper functioning and preventative maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role in logistics.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and dispatch procedures.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
