Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and proactive Agro Distribution Assistant to join our growing team in Jabi, Abuja. This pivotal role involves supporting the efficient flow of agricultural products from our storage facilities to various distribution points and clients. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming agricultural products, ensuring proper handling and storage conditions to preserve quality.
- Assist in the accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of agricultural goods according to delivery schedules and client orders.
- Maintain precise inventory records, conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified.
- Monitor product quality and report any damages, discrepancies, or issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Prepare necessary documentation for shipments, including waybills, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Collaborate with drivers and logistics personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Ensure the warehouse and storage areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Provide administrative support to the distribution team as required, including data entry and filing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution process.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution role, preferably within the agricultural sector.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Certification in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift license).
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Experience working with perishable goods and understanding of their specific handling requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
