Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments across all departments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective learning programs, utilizing a blend of in-person, virtual, and e-learning modalities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives using key metrics and feedback, continuously refining programs for optimal impact.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align L&D strategies with organizational goals and future workforce needs.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
- Implement and maintain learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
- Develop and mentor internal trainers and subject matter experts to expand training capabilities.
- Ensure all training programs comply with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
- Provide coaching and support to employees and managers on performance improvement and career development.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in designing and implementing diverse learning and development programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, develop curricula, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Strategic thinking with an ability to align L&D initiatives with business objectives.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Certification in instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD) or related L&D credentials.
- Experience working in industries relevant to Dutch Harbor (e.g., maritime, seafood processing, logistics).
- Familiarity with compliance training requirements specific to the Alaskan region or similar remote operations.
- Experience with coaching, mentorship, and leadership development programs.
