Key Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring their comfort and readiness for consultation.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately into patient records.
- Assist doctors during examinations and minor surgical procedures, preparing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Perform basic diagnostic tests as directed by the doctor (e.g., ECG, urine analysis, basic blood pressure monitoring).
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care as advised by the doctor.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient registrations, and maintain up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Ensure examination rooms are meticulously stocked, clean, and organized before and after each patient visit.
- Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinic team.
- Process laboratory requests and referrals, ensuring timely communication with external providers and maintaining patient flow.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining strict patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Doctor Assistant or Medical Assistant, preferably in a clinical setting (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and common clinical procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- High level of empathy, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a collaborative team environment.
- Current First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Medical Assistantship, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or a related healthcare field from a recognized institution.
