Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineer Technician for immediate hire to join our expanding team in the SAP Arena Area, Mannheim. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive technical support across our diverse range of engineering projects, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our critical systems and equipment. As an Engineer Technician, you will be instrumental in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of intricate machinery and electrical systems, working closely with our engineering teams to implement solutions and uphold the highest operational standards.

We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical principles, coupled with hands-on experience in diagnostic and repair procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and control systems.
  • Conduct precise calibrations and adjustments to ensure optimal system performance and accuracy.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering diagrams.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration data.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operational staff as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance and repairs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Engineer Technician or in a similar technical role (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English (German proficiency is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
