Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Manage daily mise en place, including chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients for service.
  • Monitor food stock levels, assist with inventory management, and communicate needs to the Head Chef.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workstation at all times, adhering strictly to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
  • Handle kitchen equipment and tools safely and responsibly, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Contribute to menu development and special promotions with creative ideas, as requested.
  • Adapt to changing customer demands and kitchen priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP or similar).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Exceptional knife skills and culinary dexterity.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
