Key Responsibilities
- Feed and water poultry according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
- Monitor flock health daily, identify signs of illness or distress, and report to management.
- Collect and sort eggs, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain quality.
- Clean and sanitize coops, feeders, and watering systems regularly to prevent disease.
- Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, egg production, and bird health.
- Assist with vaccination programs and other veterinary procedures as needed.
- Perform general farm duties, including maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure biosecurity measures are strictly followed to prevent contamination.
- Handle and move birds safely and humanely during various farm operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in poultry farming or general farm work.
- Basic understanding of poultry care and animal welfare principles.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
- Strong observational skills for monitoring bird health and behavior.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
