Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) through proactive engagement with customers.
  • Provide personalized styling advice and product recommendations, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of current fashion trends, merchandise features, fabric care, and brand stories.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, fostering loyalty and repeat business through personalized follow-ups, excellent after-sales service, and CRM engagement.
  • Ensure the boutique's visual merchandising standards are impeccable, contributing to an inviting, luxurious, and aesthetically pleasing shopping environment.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods with integrity.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, product knowledge training sessions, and promotional events to enhance product understanding and refine sales techniques.
  • Maintain a pristine and organized sales floor, ensuring all merchandise is correctly displayed, sized, ticketed, and replenished promptly.
  • Stay updated on competitor activities, market trends, and new arrivals to effectively position the boutique's unique offerings and advise clients confidently.
  • Assist with stock replenishment, inventory management, and stockroom organization, ensuring adequate levels of merchandise are available on the sales floor.
  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service, resolving inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly to ensure client satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in retail sales, with a minimum of 1 year, preferably in fashion, luxury goods, or a high-end boutique setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and engage effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Strong understanding of current fashion trends, styling techniques, fabric types, and garment care.
  • Goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Impeccable personal presentation, a sophisticated demeanor, and a genuine passion for the fashion industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as retail demands.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as required in a retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working specifically in a high-end boutique or with a luxury fashion brand.
  • Knowledge of an additional local language (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is a plus.
  • Existing client book or network within the fashion community in Lagos.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and clienteling best practices.
  • Social media savvy with an understanding of digital fashion trends and platforms for client engagement.
