Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and high-performing network infrastructure across various locations.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, FortiGate) and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures, including vulnerability assessments and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Participate in network capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides meticulously.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders on various projects, providing expert network advice and support.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and security threats to continuously enhance our network capabilities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP).
- Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
- Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
