Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, reporting any significant changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide assistance with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, ensuring hygiene and infection control standards are met.
- Assist nurses with various medical procedures and treatments as directed.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and intake/output accurately and promptly.
- Respond to patient call bells and requests for assistance in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Adhere strictly to all healthcare policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
Required Skills
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) qualification or equivalent (e.g., Healthcare Assistant certificate)
- Proven experience in patient care, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of infection control principles and patient safety protocols.
