Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control various petrochemical processing units, ensuring operations are within specified parameters.
  • Operate and interpret readings from Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA interfaces.
  • Conduct regular field inspections of equipment, pipelines, and instrumentation for safe and efficient operation.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, process upsets, and emergency situations, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting of operational issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs, shift reports, and operational data.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in plant start-ups, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality control teams to optimize plant performance and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Plant Operator in a petrochemical, chemical, or similar heavy industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of process control principles, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in operating Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex operational issues.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
