Key Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner, adhering to established billing cycles and contractual terms.
- Process credit notes and adjustments as required, ensuring proper authorisation and documentation.
- Reconcile billing data with timesheets, contracts, and internal systems to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Respond to client billing queries and internal finance-related questions with professionalism and efficiency, providing clear and concise information.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate billing records within the accounting system.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures related to billing and accounts receivable.
- Prepare various financial reports and analyses as requested by the finance management team.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless billing processes and client satisfaction.
- Identify and implement improvements to billing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Billing Administrator or in a similar finance role (minimum 2 years).
- Solid understanding of billing procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- AAT qualification or working towards a relevant accounting qualification.
