Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks on construction sites.
- Perform general site clean-up, including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing tools and materials.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment manually or using basic mechanical aids.
- Prepare work areas by setting up and dismantling temporary structures, barricades, and safety signage.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills).
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and assist with concrete pouring and finishing tasks.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific procedures rigorously.
- Support the installation of various building components and structures as directed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic understanding and adherence to construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
