Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute photo shoots for various assignments, including corporate events, public gatherings, personal portraits, and studio product photography.
- Operate and maintain professional camera equipment, lighting setups, and other studio accessories.
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific photographic requirements.
- Direct subjects and models during shoots to achieve desired expressions, poses, and compositions.
- Perform extensive post-production editing, including colour correction, retouching, cropping, and image manipulation using industry-standard software.
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper cataloguing, backups, and efficient workflow.
- Stay updated with emerging photography trends, techniques, and equipment to enhance skill set and output.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to align visual content with overall brand strategy.
- Prepare images for various platforms, ensuring optimal resolution and file types for web, print, and social media.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work within agreed-upon deadlines.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional photography experience across event, portrait, and studio disciplines.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge.
- Expertise in operating DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, various lenses, and professional lighting equipment (strobes, continuous lights, modifiers).
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting principles, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and subjects.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail for shoot planning and digital asset management.
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing relevant work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Familiarity with drone photography regulations and operations (holding a valid A2 CofC or GVC certificate).
- Experience in niche photography areas such as commercial, architectural, or food photography.
- Active participation in professional photography communities or associations.
