Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, adapting to traffic and road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Handle cash and process delivery payments as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or route changes.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing packages, when not on the road.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (e.g., Class C or higher)
- Clean driving record for at least the past three years
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role
- Excellent knowledge of Montego Bay and surrounding areas
- Strong navigational skills with the ability to use GPS and maps effectively
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- Good physical stamina for loading, unloading, and prolonged driving
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of responsibility and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
