Key Responsibilities
- Translate various types of content (e.g., technical, marketing, legal) from a source language to your native target language with high accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
- Ensure translated content maintains the original meaning, tone, style, and intent.
- Utilize CAT tools (Translation Memory, Terminology Management) to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Conduct thorough self-review and quality assurance checks on all translations before submission.
- Adhere strictly to project-specific glossaries, style guides, and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with project managers regarding project status, challenges, and clarifications.
- Continuously improve linguistic skills and stay updated with industry best practices and language trends.
Required Skills
- Native fluency in at least one target language (e.g., Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, etc.)
- Exceptional proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
- Proven experience in translation, localization, or transcreation
- Strong command of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances in both source and target languages
- Proficiency with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast)
