Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Efficiently process guest check-outs, handling payments and providing accurate invoices.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving for first-contact resolution.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions in Idumagbo and greater Lagos.
  • Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications with precision and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
  • Process all financial transactions accurately and securely, adhering to hotel policies.
  • Actively upsell hotel amenities and services when appropriate, enhancing guest experience.
  • Handle guest mail, messages, and wake-up calls reliably.
  • Assist with luggage handling and transportation arrangements as needed.
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs and offer personalized assistance to enhance their stay.
  • Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and local regulations.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times, representing the hotel's brand.
  • Resolve minor guest complaints independently and escalate complex issues to management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and service quality.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite) and quick to learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ year) in a hotel front office or guest service role.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Idumagbo, Lagos Island, and surrounding attractions.
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is a significant advantage.
