Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and experienced Driver for Logistics & Delivery to join our dynamic team in Duncans, Trelawny. This critical role involves operating company-provided vehicles to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods across various locations within Trelawny and surrounding parishes. As a Driver, you will be the face of our company, interacting with clients and ensuring that every delivery is handled with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) for the transport and delivery of goods.
- Adhere to all local and national traffic laws and regulations, as well as company safety policies.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, utilizing navigation tools to optimize time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation, including proof of delivery and mileage.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Handle cash or payment collection as required, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and good working condition of the assigned company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (e.g., Class C or F in Jamaica).
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
- Excellent knowledge of Trelawny parish road networks and surrounding areas.
- Strong navigational and route planning abilities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Customer-service oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
