Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives in Kwekwe, Midlands Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s business goals and talent objectives.
  • Conduct organizational needs assessments to identify skill gaps and design targeted training interventions for all employee levels.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, compliance training, and professional soft skills.
  • Select, manage, and evaluate external training vendors, consultants, and learning technologies to ensure high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of L&D programs, reporting on ROI and making data-driven improvements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing L&D team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Manage the annual L&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and adult learning theories to continuously enhance our offerings.
  • Collaborate with HR and departmental leaders to integrate learning initiatives with talent management, performance management, and career pathing.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and evaluating successful learning strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies (LMS, authoring tools).
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze data, and drive results.
  • Proficiency in project management and vendor management.
  • Experience in budget planning and financial oversight for L&D initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Learning & Development (e.g., CPLP, ATD certifications).
  • Experience working in a professional services or fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with various HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Proven experience with e-learning development and blended learning approaches.
