This role involves working in a dynamic warehouse environment where speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are paramount. You will be responsible for handling a variety of packages, ranging in size and weight, and ensuring they are directed to the correct outbound channels. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of performing physical tasks consistently throughout their shift. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort packages by destination, weight, and delivery route using automated and manual sorting systems.
- Load and unload parcels, freight, and other items from delivery trucks, conveyors, and pallets.
- Scan packages and update tracking information accurately.
- Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and safety regulations.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely (training provided if necessary).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic literacy (ability to read and understand labels, numbers, and simple instructions).
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or package handling role.
- Familiarity with package scanning technology and warehouse management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
