Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research into relevant legislation, policies, and best practices relating to child welfare and social care.
  • Draft, review, and edit policy documents, briefing papers, reports, and consultation responses to a high standard.
  • Support the Policy and Strategy team in monitoring policy developments and legislative changes at local, national, and international levels.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for internal and external meetings, workshops, and consultations.
  • Maintain organised records and databases of policy documents, research findings, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Provide administrative support to the Policy and Strategy team, ensuring smooth operation of policy development cycles.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to gather information and ensure policy alignment.
  • Communicate complex policy information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in policy research, analysis, or support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distil complex information.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • High level of organisation and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
