As our Remote Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of volunteer engagement, from initial recruitment and onboarding to ongoing support, recognition, and retention, all managed effectively from your home office. Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new volunteers, including conducting virtual orientations and background checks.
  • Develop and maintain volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for various programs and events.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing questions, concerns, and providing ongoing support.
  • Provide recognition and appreciation to volunteers to foster a positive and engaging experience.
  • Utilize and maintain the volunteer management system (e.g., Volgistics) for data entry, tracking volunteer hours, profiles, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify volunteer needs, create clear role descriptions, and match volunteers with appropriate opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and update volunteer policies and procedures in accordance with organizational guidelines and best practices.
  • Organize and execute volunteer appreciation events and initiatives, both virtual and occasional in-person.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials and strategies to attract and retain a diverse volunteer pool.
  • Monitor and evaluate volunteer program effectiveness, making recommendations for continuous improvement and growth.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in volunteer coordination or program management (minimum 2 years).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, suitable for remote interactions.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
