As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for all technical inquiries, troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-tier technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and other identity management systems.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN problems.
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in our knowledge base system.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware setup and software provisioning.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Educate users on best practices for software usage and security awareness.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours critical support (infrequent).

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT Support role.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Experience with Active Directory user and group management.
  • Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to service excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools (e.g., Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with endpoint management solutions (e.g., Intune, SCCM).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell).
