Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Medical Transcriptionist to join our team in the heart of Downtown Core, Singapore. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between spoken medical dictation and accurate, accessible written records. Your meticulous work ensures that healthcare providers have precise documentation for patient care, legal requirements, and billing purposes, directly impacting the quality and safety of patient treatment plans.
As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for listening to recorded dictations from physicians and other healthcare professionals and transcribing them into comprehensive and grammatically correct medical reports, histories, physicals, office notes, operative reports, consultations, and discharge summaries. This position demands an exceptional understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and disease processes, combined with an acute ear for detail and superior typing speed and accuracy. You will work with sensitive patient information, requiring unwavering adherence to confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA (or equivalent local regulations such as the Personal Data Protection Act in Singapore).

Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe dictated medical reports, summaries, office notes, and other medical documents with exceptional accuracy and speed.
- Identify, interpret, and appropriately document medical terminology, diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
- Review and edit transcribed reports for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency.
- Ensure all transcribed documents adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and patient privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA in Singapore).
- Utilize medical reference materials, dictionaries, and industry guidelines to clarify inconsistencies or imprecise dictation.
- Manage and prioritize workload efficiently to meet turnaround time requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any unclear dictations or issues encountered.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and healthcare documentation standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist
- Exceptional listening and comprehension skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and disease processes
- High typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) and accuracy
