Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients, executives, or goods to designated locations on time.
- Plan and execute routes efficiently, considering traffic, road conditions, and client preferences.
- Maintain the cleanliness and optimal operational condition of assigned vehicles through regular checks and reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all national and local traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of clients and sensitive information encountered during assignments.
- Assist passengers with luggage, opening and closing doors, and other personal belongings as required, demonstrating a high level of client service.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of mileage, fuel consumption, travel times, and expenses.
- Be available for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, as client needs dictate.
- Represent Career.zycto and its clients with utmost professionalism, a courteous demeanor, and a positive attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Code 8/B driver's license with a Public Driver's Permit (PDP).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven professional driving experience (personal, corporate, or executive shuttle service).
- Extensive and verifiable knowledge of Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) and surrounding Eastern Cape routes.
- Impeccable driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse individuals.
- Exceptional time management and punctuality, with a keen eye for detail.
- High level of discretion, trustworthiness, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks, minor maintenance, and identify when professional servicing is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced defensive driving certification or equivalent specialized driving courses.
- First Aid certification for emergency situations.
- Experience with luxury vehicle operations and high-profile client handling.
- Proficiency in using modern GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications for optimal routing.
- Fluency in Xhosa or Afrikaans in addition to English.
