Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Asset Manager to join our growing team in Treptow, Berlin. In this critical full-time role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the value, cost, and risk of IT assets throughout their entire lifecycle. From procurement to disposal, you will oversee hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance, maximizing utilization, and driving cost efficiencies across our organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT asset management policies, processes, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, utilization, tracking, and secure disposal of hardware and software.
  • Ensure strict compliance with software licenses, vendor contracts, and relevant regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
  • Maintain an accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date IT asset inventory database using specialized ITAM tools.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in IT asset utilization and procurement.
  • Collaborate effectively with procurement, finance, IT operations, legal, and other departmental teams to align ITAM strategies.
  • Generate insightful reports and dashboards on asset status, lifecycle trends, compliance posture, and financial implications for senior management.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for IT hardware and software needs and expenditures.
  • Manage key vendor relationships related to IT asset procurement, licensing, and support agreements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT service management processes, integrating ITAM with other ITIL disciplines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management or a closely related IT management role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management best practices, frameworks (e.g., ITIL), and diverse software licensing models.
  • Proficiency with enterprise-level IT Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Ivanti, Snow Software).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data sets, perform data analysis, and produce clear, insightful reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both English and German (B2 level or higher is mandatory).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
  • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or a similar industry-recognized certification.
  • Practical experience with cloud asset management (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with German data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., DSGVO/GDPR) as they pertain to IT assets.
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
