Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle all incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel's reservation system.
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions in Qacha’s Nek.
- Process payments, maintain accurate guest accounts, and manage the front desk cash drawer.
- Listen attentively to guest feedback, complaints, and concerns, resolving issues courteously or escalating them to management when necessary.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure guest requests are met.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and preparing daily reports.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures regarding guest service, safety, and security.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email)
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately
- Professional and friendly demeanor with a strong guest-first attitude
- Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- High level of reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field
- Previous experience working with hotel reservation software (PMS)
- Knowledge of other local languages is a plus
- Familiarity with the Qacha’s Nek area and its attractions
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
