Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of waiters, hostesses, and support staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, service standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment, assisting with ordering and stock control.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, including till reconciliation and daily sales reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food delivery.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement effective solutions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software (POS systems).
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene.
  • Experience with menu planning and cost control.
  • Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa).
