Career.zycto is seeking a highly creative and user-centric UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team in South B, Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to understand user behaviors and needs.
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes for various platforms (iOS, Android, web) that demonstrate app functionality.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, ensuring consistency across all application components.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy.
- Iterate designs based on user feedback, technical limitations, and evolving business requirements.
- Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve design quality.
- Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, backed by research and user-centered principles.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, specifically with app interface design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of UI/UX projects for mobile and/or web applications.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and methodologies.
- Experience with wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and information architecture.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale clearly and persuasively.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience with animation, motion graphics, or micro-interactions.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand technical constraints.
- Experience in conducting A/B testing and interpreting analytics data for design improvements.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG).
