Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain automated systems and control panels using PLCs, SCADA, and HMI.
  • Program and configure industrial control systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for automation system failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities and integrate solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, P&IDs, and operational manuals.
  • Ensure all automation projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for automation initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance staff on new and existing automated systems.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and methods to improve automation processes and efficiency.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and validation to ensure smooth operation post-implementation.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation, process control, or systems integration.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric).
  • Experience with SCADA and HMI development (e.g., WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware).
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with robotic systems and vision systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
  • Project management certification or experience in leading automation projects.
