Career.zycto is excited to facilitate the search for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Nanny Household Support Worker for a delightful family residing in the vibrant and modern HafenCity district of Hamburg. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a family’s daily life, supporting them with both dedicated childcare and essential household management. Our client family has two school-aged children (ages 6 and 9) who are active, curious, and enjoy creative play. They are looking for someone who can create a stimulating and safe atmosphere, assist with their after-school routines, and ensure their well-being. Beyond childcare, this role extends to light household support, helping to maintain an organized and comfortable home. This includes tasks such as meal preparation, tidying communal areas, and managing children’s laundry.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging childcare for two school-aged children, including creative play, reading, and educational activities.
- Assist with after-school routines, including school pick-up (if applicable), homework supervision, and preparing healthy snacks and meals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Perform light household duties such as tidying common areas, children's rooms, laundry for children, and occasional grocery shopping.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate activities and outings.
- Manage children's schedules, appointments, and activity coordination.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children’s development, daily activities, and household needs.
- Ensure children adhere to established routines for meals, naps/rest, and bedtime (on occasional late shifts).
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience, preferably with school-aged children.
- Proven experience in household management and organization.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; German proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) qualification or related background.
- Fluency in German (B2 level or higher).
- Valid German driving license and clean driving record.
- Experience working in private family homes in Germany or Europe.
- Knowledge of child development stages and educational activities.
