Key Responsibilities

  • Process a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, cheque cashing, and bill payments.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to client inquiries regarding accounts, services, and general banking procedures.
  • Identify client needs and proactively recommend suitable banking products and services (e.g., credit cards, loans, investment options).
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues with professionalism, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all banking products, services, policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Manage and balance cash drawer daily, adhering to strict cash handling procedures and security protocols.
  • Assist clients with digital banking platforms and self-service options, guiding them through online and mobile functionalities.
  • Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with clients, fostering loyalty and trust.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or cash handling role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to client needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
