Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a specialization in Infrastructure & Road Construction to join a dynamic team working on critical projects across the Roundhay, Leeds area. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and technical approval of road and highway infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with DMRB, MCHW, and local authority standards.
  • Manage project lifecycles from feasibility studies, detailed design, through to construction supervision and handover.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct site investigations, surveys, and risk assessments to inform design decisions.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor project progress, budget, and quality, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Utilize civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroDrainage) for design and analysis.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team.
  • Ensure all work adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure and road construction.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of UK design standards, including DMRB and MCHW.
  • Proven experience in project management and site supervision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
  • Familiarity with NEC forms of contract.
  • Previous experience working on local authority or Highways England projects.
