Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and engaging care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities, including educational games, creative arts, outdoor play, and reading.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for children, accommodating any dietary requirements or allergies.
- Manage daily routines, including waking, dressing, feeding, napping, and bedtime.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas, bedrooms, and common spaces.
- Administer basic first aid and medication as required, with parental consent and proper training.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Escort children to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities as scheduled.
- Handle light household duties related to the children, such as laundry and tidying up.
- Foster good manners and social skills through positive reinforcement and example.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Nanny, Childminder, or in a similar childcare role.
- Demonstrable love for children and genuine interest in their development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and execute age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Understanding of child safety and hygiene best practices.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Discreet and respectful of family privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
