Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Field Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in Jebel Ali, Dubai. This part-time role offers flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to balance professional growth with personal commitments. As an IT Field Support Assistant, you will be the front-line support for our clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day will involve travelling to various client sites within the Jebel Ali free zone and surrounding areas, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
This role is crucial for maintaining the operational continuity of our clients, ranging from small businesses to larger enterprises. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including setting up new workstations, troubleshooting network connectivity problems, installing and configuring software applications, and performing routine maintenance on IT equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for hardware, software, and network issues at client locations.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operating system problems (Windows, macOS) and common software applications.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and basic routing.
- Perform routine IT equipment maintenance and preventative checks.
- Document all support activities, resolutions, and configurations accurately.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and explain technical solutions clearly.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel when necessary.
- Adhere to IT security policies and best practices during all support activities.
- Manage time efficiently to cover multiple client sites within the designated area.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11).
- Familiarity with hardware components, installation, and basic repairs.
- Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, LAN).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Valid UAE Driving License and own transportation for travel to client sites.
Preferred Qualifications
