Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Laundry Attendant to join our dynamic team in Buru Buru, Nairobi. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in our laundry operations, serving either a reputable hotel establishment or a private residence. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabric items, directly contributing to the comfort, hygiene, and overall positive experience of our guests or residents. Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and degree of soiling, preparing them for washing.
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor washing and drying cycles to ensure proper machine function and timely completion.
- Perform stain treatment and removal on various fabrics using appropriate chemicals and techniques.
- Fold, press, and hang clean laundry items neatly and according to established standards.
- Inspect all items for damage or wear, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain an organized and clean laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspace.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies (detergents, softeners, chemicals) and report stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other cleaning duties as required to support overall facility maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry bags and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
