Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives in Gokwe, Midlands Province. As the Director of Learning & Development, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of learning solutions, from needs assessment and content creation to delivery and evaluation. Your expertise will guide the development of bespoke training modules, leadership development programs, and continuous professional development pathways. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of implementing successful L&D strategies. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to align learning objectives with business goals, ensuring every initiative adds measurable value. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules for all levels of employees.
  • Lead the needs assessment process to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across departments.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D initiatives and regularly analyze data to measure program effectiveness, ROI, and impact on employee performance and retention.
  • Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the organization.
  • Mentor and develop a small team of L&D professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends to continuously enhance our L&D offerings.
  • Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to integrate L&D programs with performance management, succession planning, and talent acquisition strategies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing impactful L&D strategies and programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and various training methodologies.
  • Proficiency in leveraging learning technologies and e-learning platforms.

  • Track record of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Certifications in recognized L&D methodologies (e.g., ATD, CIPD).
  • Experience working in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with talent management systems (TMS) and learning management systems (LMS).
