Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic plans.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance tracking against key metrics.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by providing relevant financial data and insights.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments to gather financial data and understand business drivers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the FP&A function.
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by senior management.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 18 months) in a finance or accounting role, preferably within FP&A.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling, macros are a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with financial reporting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or an FP&A certification.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with dedicated financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software.
