Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic plans.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance tracking against key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by providing relevant financial data and insights.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments to gather financial data and understand business drivers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the FP&A function.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by senior management.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 18 months) in a finance or accounting role, preferably within FP&A.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling, macros are a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with financial reporting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or an FP&A certification.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with dedicated financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software.
