Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Identify, document, track, and re-test bugs, defects, and other issues using issue tracking systems.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product features and technical specifications.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable bug reports and communicate findings effectively to relevant teams.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide feedback on testability, usability, and overall user experience.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks (where applicable).
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using industry-standard issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
