Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and meticulously inspect incoming merchandise, verifying quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes with utmost accuracy.
  • Accurately record all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and dispatches, utilizing the designated inventory management system.
  • Organize and strategically store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper stacking, clear labeling, and easy accessibility.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and diligently reconcile any discrepancies, promptly reporting variances to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Prepare and issue merchandise for replenishment to the sales floor, ensuring timely, accurate, and damage-free delivery.
  • Monitor stock levels continuously and identify items requiring reordering or special handling due to demand or sensitivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times, strictly adhering to all company health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., trolleys, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any faults.
  • Assist in identifying and isolating damaged, expired, or non-conforming goods for proper disposal, return, or corrective action.
  • Collaborate effectively with the sales team to address stock-related queries, provide information, and support promotional activities.
  • Assist with periodic stocktaking and inventory audits as required by management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a warehouse, stockroom, or busy retail store environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, especially in data entry and stock verification.
  • Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods (up to 25kg).
  • Basic computer literacy for operating inventory systems and related software.
